USC Library established the “Dance History Video Archive” (DHVA) to represent Southern California’s a robust, historical dance accomplishment in online public access and used for educational and research purposes. Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the digitized form of DHVA allows LADF’s select concert recordings to be viewed and to breach the gap in accessibility of dance resources, particularly in underfunded areas. DHVA and USC Libraries will ensure the long-term preservation of the archival-quality digital video files in the USC Digital Repository, which preserves the university’s significant cultural heritage collections. [*Note: Due to the pandemic, the uploading of LADF’s recordings of “Weeping Women in Dance, “Indomitable Spirit of Woman” and “Legendary California Choreographers” may experience delays.]
